Political science and international studies professional with an M.A. in Political Science and a Graduate Certificate in Strategic Communication from the University of Colorado Denver. Over a decade of Arabic ⇄ English interpretation experience in medical, legal, and community settings; higher-education administration and student mentorship; legislative policy work at the Colorado Capitol; and project-management training across Scrum, Lean, and Six Sigma.

Ali arrived in the United States as a refugee in 2011 with no local network and no material resources. Over the next decade he built a life from the ground up: first as a shuttle driver for construction workers, then driving with Uber and Lyft, and later as an Arabic ⇄ English interpreter working with companies and institutions across Colorado. Those years taught him how policy, language, and access shape everyday outcomes.

After establishing a home and starting a family, he enrolled at the Community College of Denver to study Political Science. He transferred to the University of Colorado Denver after one year, added International Studies as a second major, and completed a minor in Communication. He earned his M.A. in Political Science from UC Denver in 2026.

Throughout his graduate work, he continued caring for his wife, daughter, and mother. He now brings together academic training, lived experience, and bilingual professional practice to work at the intersection of policy, research, and language access.
